It seems that originality has left the building so to speak. From movies to television the writers seem incapable of coming up with a new idea. They say imitation is flattery (or something like that) but, honestly why do they feel the need to re-make every movie/show there ever was. As far as I can tell the original is far better than the re-make. I have recenlty heard a rumor that my favorite movie is possibly heading for this tragic event. Dirty Dancing is perfect the way it is, there will never be another Patrick Swayze/Jennifer Grey combination. If there has to be a new version of a movie/show why not try to improve on the those that were terrible to begin with.
